Get found on the map
When somebody searches for a plumber in Evansville, they get three businesses on a map before they get a single website. Most of them call one of those three. If your Google Business Profile is thin, wrong, or five years stale, you are not in the running at the moment a person has already decided to hire somebody.
I set that profile up, fix what is wrong with it, and keep it active so you are one of the three. It runs alongside a website build, after one, or entirely on its own. You do not need a site from me to hire me for this.

Management starts after a setup pass — a new profile gets built and verified, an existing one gets fixed first. If I built your website, that was part of it and there's no setup fee. I'll tell you which one you need on the first call, before you pay anything.
Plans are month to month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. I do ask you to give it three months before you judge it, because local ranking moves over a quarter, not a week.

Hold your profile hostage
It lives on your Google account and I work on it as a manager. Fire me tomorrow and you keep everything. Agencies that build it on their own account are how a business ends up paying to get its own listing back.

Write you a fake review
Asking your real customers, with a system that makes it easy, is review generation. Buying or inventing them is fraud, and in a city this size it is a story that follows you.

Promise you a ranking
Nobody can, and anybody who does is guessing or lying. Google's own guidelines forbid the promise. What I sell is the work and the report that shows the calls it produced.
Questions about the map
How long before I see anything?
Posts and photos show up the same week. Calls and direction requests usually start moving in 30 to 60 days, and local ranking moves over a quarter rather than a week. That is why I ask for three months, and why the report comes monthly: you are never left guessing whether it is working.
What if Google will not verify me?
It happens, and it is the one part of this I cannot guarantee. Google's usual path now is a video walkthrough showing permanent signage and proof you work where you say you do, which a brand-new or home-based business sometimes cannot satisfy yet. I will tell you that before you pay if I think you are in that position. Setup covers one verification method and two attempts; if it turns into an appeal or a dispute, we price that separately rather than pretending it was included.
Do I need a website from you first?
No, and plenty of businesses should fix the map before they spend anything on a site. This runs on its own. If that is your situation I will say so rather than talk you into a build you are not ready for.
Am I locked in?
No. Month to month, cancel with 30 days' notice. The profile is yours, the reviews are yours, and everything I set up keeps working after I stop.
What if somebody is already doing this for me?
Keep them, if it is working. Ask them for last month's report — views, calls, direction requests. If they cannot produce one, you have your answer.
